International Women’s Day 2020: GuildLink is helping deliver improved healthcare outcomes to Australian women

GuildLink is proud to support this year’s International Women’s Day and is committed to helping deliver improved healthcare outcomes to women across Australia through its Health Check program on GuildCare NG.

GuildCare NG updated its Health Check program at the start of the year, with the enhanced program now not only featuring an improved workflow but also:

  • A more depth patient interview questionnaire to help pharmacists gather more detailed health information.
  • The Australian Absolute Cardiovascular Disease Risk Calculator
  • Additional external resources such as national health guidelines
  • A new customisable GP Referral Letter which can be easily edited before printing

“Recent research [1] on the health of Australia’s females revealed a number of impactful statistics on topics such obesity, lifestyle and diets – many of which can be assisted within the pharmacy,” said GuildLink CEO Arun Sharma, “Within families, women are usually the primary caregivers and managers, and they often put the needs of their family ahead of themselves. This International Women’s Day we encourage all pharmacists, where appropriate, to ask their female patients about their overall health and whether they would like to undertake a Health Check. As these conversations are the first step in their patient’s journey towards better health.”
