GuildLink makes vaccination changes for Tasmanian pharmacists

16 September 2019

GuildLink has released an update to GuildCare NG’s vaccination recording service following a recent change in healthcare policy by the Tasmanian Government.
Tasmanian pharmacists can now administer a number of vaccines within pharmacy; including measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) and diphtheria, tetanus and acellular pertussis (dTpa) to those aged over 16.

Leading professional pharmacy services platform, GuildLink is proud to support Tasmanian pharmacists by making changes to their Vaccination program in GuildCare NG within 24 hours of the policy change.

Vaccinations recorded in GuildCare are automatically sent to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR), allowing pharmacists to both meet vaccination recording requirements and save time entering vaccination information. The AIR integration removes double handling of patient data and provides a more accurate and efficient system of recording vaccinations.

Arun Sharma, CEO GuildLink said “We are committed to delivering state-based legislation changes as soon as possible in order to help support pharmacists’ role as vaccinators and protect Australians from these communicable diseases.

GuildCare was the first professional pharmacy services platform to integrate with AIR. GuildCare is proud to be at the forefront of supporting pharmacists to practice to their full scope putting patients and their communities first.
