GuildLink have welcomed the new 6CPA administrators, Australian Healthcare Associates (AHA), operating as Pharmacy Programs Administrator (PPA).

GuildLink and PPA are now working together to continue to make 6CPA claiming easier for community pharmacy.

“Of course, there are some changes for pharmacies during this transition period” said Jannine Johnson, Acting CEO GuildLink, “however, we’ll continue to do everything we can to make it easy for community pharmacies to use GuildCare to record, report and claim on MedsChecks and the other programs delivered under 6CPA.”

“Please be patient during this time” Johnson encouraged pharmacies who rely on the GuildCare solution. “Change can be frustrating, but ultimately there’s not much actually changing! From 1st February, claims will be processed by a new administrator and entered via a new portal. Your GuildCare platform will continue to do a lot of the tracking and administrative work for you.”

“Our team are working behind the scenes towards digital integration with PPA, just as we did with the Pharmacy Guild of Australia, during their administration period.  The only difference during this transition, is in the way that a pharmacy submits claims to the 6CPA administrator”.

The PPA website has an overview of the transition here and details how each 6CPA program should be claimed.

Some trial programs including the Community Pharmacy in Health Care Homes Trial and Chronic Pain MedsCheck Trial continue to operate under the administration of the Pharmacy Guild.

“We’ll continue to work together with PPA, and let you know as soon as their new systems are ready to integrate with our platform, and we’re all able to make the claiming process easier”, said Johnson.

“The important thing to remember during this period is that patient healthcare remains paramount. 

GuildCare will continue to identify opportunities for interventions and pharmacies will continue to provide opportunities for improved health outcomes.

“Patient health remains a focus, even when the systems and processes behind the scenes change” said Johnson.

“That’s why we love this business. Patient health always comes first and as always, we’ll continue to partner with all healthcare stakeholders who share our focus.”
