In the case’s Suitability and Patient Consent card, check the box stating: “Patient does not hold/is not eligible to hold a Medicare/DVA card, use Special Medicare number (Urgent Care Required) for PPA claims”

Pharmacies can now successfully complete cases if “the patient does not hold a Medicare/DVA card or is not eligible to hold a Medicare/DVA card”.

The feature allows uploading of the patient’s record to AIR, whilst also applying the Special Medicare Card number (Urgent clinical need) for PPA Portal claiming.

How to use
In the Covid-19 Module, if the patient does not hold a Medicare/DVA card or is not eligible to hold a Medicare/DVA card, leave the Medicare card field blank:
