Patients living with diabetes soon able to order NDSS products via myPharmacyLink

15 July 2019

In support of the National Diabetes Week, GuildLink is proud to announce a planned release of a new feature on myPharmacyLink which will allow people living with diabetes to order their National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS) supplies directly through the app.

With over 1.7 million Australians living with diabetes everyday, not only is access to blood glucose monitoring and management products crucial – so is their relationship with their local pharmacy.

Understanding the opportunity to better support pharmacies and their patients living with diabetes, GuildLink is proud to announce it will soon release a new NDSS product ordering feature on its free patient-facing app, myPharmacyLink. The new feature will allow people living with diabetes to order NDSS products directly through the app, track their supply of products and receive reminders as to when their supply may be running low.

“Providing the convenience of ordering NDSS products directly through the app is not only another way of delivering better health outcomes for patients, it also streamlines the ordering and stock management process for pharmacies – freeing up valuable pharmacist time,” said GuildLink CEO Arun Sharma, “myPharmacyLink is just one example of GuildLink’s commitment to delivering solutions to pharmacists that enhance patient engagement and support their business.”

Pharmacists using GuildCare should recommend to patients living with diabetes and their carers about downloading the myPharmacyLink app – so once the feature is released, pharmacists will be able to better prepare stocktaking processes for an increase in NDSS orders.
